AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (Feb. 24-26): Totoy Bato maintains lead in the primetime race

GMA-7’s new series Totoy Bato, topbilled by Robin Padilla, continues to lord the primetime race since its debut last Monday, February 23. It held on to the No. 1 spot from Feb. 24 (Tuesday) until Feb. 26 (Thursday); consistently followed by second-placer Luna Mystika.

Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang took the No. 3 spot Tuesday and Wednesday but slipped to No. 5 Thursday. ABS-CBN’s Tayong Dalawa took over that position instead.

Libel, perjury raps vs Claudine junked

THE Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office yesterday dismissed the charges of libel and perjury filed against actress Claudine Barretto-Santiago due to lack of merit and insufficiency of evidence.

In a 4-page resolution, Assistant City Prosecutor Joselito Bacolor explained that after evaluating the arguments and evidence of both parties, he is inclined to rule in favor of the actress since the evidence presented by the complainant are insufficient to engender a well-founded belief that a crime has been committed.

“It is basic nay elementary that mere allegation is not evidence. We likewise highly doubt the intention of the complainant in filing the instant case. As admitted, the instant complaint was merely filed in the nature of a countercharge, thus merely providing leverage against the case filed by respondent for qualified theft,” Bacolor said.

Raymond Gutierrez comments on Annabelle Rama-Wilma Galvante rift

CAMARINES SUR – Raymond Gutierrez admits that the latest rift between his mom, Annabelle Rama, and GMA-7 Senior Vice President for Entertainment, Ms. Wilma Galvante, affects more people other than the two warring parties involved.

“All of us are in the middle of this. It’s not an easy situation, but we’re hoping for the best,” Raymond told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview last February 26, during a dinner party held at the Lago Del Rey at the Camsur Watersports Complex in Camarines Sur.

Nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal)  gabi ng February 26, ang talent manager na si Annabelle Rama sa victory party ng  When I Met U—ang pelikula ng anak niyang si Richard Gutierrez kasama si KC Concepcion—sa Gazebo Royale sa Visayas Ave., Quezon City. Ang mga isyu na kinasasangkutan niya ang itinanong sa kanya ng PEP.

Sinabi ni Annabelle na alam nito ang pagpunta ng mga magulang ng alaga niyang si Heart Evangelista sa opisina ni Atty. Felipe Gozon, ang President, Chairman at CEO ng GMA 7, noong Miyerkules, February 25. Pero itinanggi  niya ang balita na nag-apologize ang mag-asawa sa big boss ng Kapuso network. 

ABS-CBN to investigate allegations of Wowowee winner

Less than a day after PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) published its story about the complaining Wowowee winner, ABS-CBN sent an official statement through its Corporate Communications head Bong Osorio.

The short statement read:  “ABS-CBN together with Globe Asiatique is in the process of investigating the claims of Mrs. Nena Santos about the prize she won in Wowowee.  We will make sure that Mrs. Santos gets the prize due her as soon as the important details are ironed out.
