Pacquiao among Time’s most influential people

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao’s influence transcends beyond the sport of boxing in the Philippines and this got noticed by Time Magazine in a recent poll out to find the world’s Top 100 most influential people.

The candidates list is a compilation of the most influential people in government, science, technology, the arts and sports.

According to the magazine’s website, the 30-year old Filipino boxing superstar earned a place in the list after he stunned the boxing world with an eighth-round technical knockout win over Oscar De La Hoya last December.

A TV host-comedian reportedly expects to spend at least P400M, yes, tumataginting na P400M, kapag nagpatayo siya ng building sa lupang kabibili lamang na located sa mismong harapan ng network na kanyang kinabibilangan.

Sa ipatatayong building, na ’di pa niya nire-reveal kung ilang palapag, balak daw niyang magkaroon ng mini theater, an auditorium which can sit at least 1,000 people and a studio.

Sa penthouse ng building posibleng balak niyang tumira, kahit may ilang bahay na rin siya sa Metro Manila at sa ilan pang nearby areas.

Talaga raw, income-wise, Ian F., daig pa ng celebrity na ito ang tumama sa lotto.

BITS: Kuh, inaabuso sina Regine?

Ang pakiusap ni Girlie Rodis kay Jessa Zaragoza na naka-post sa kanyang Facebook account. “Jessa, please stop this already! I know I shouldn’t let this article get to me but I am really getting tired of Jessa’s PR slants. Too bad because the recent show of Dingdong & Rachel (Music & Lyrics) was really good, very entertaining and a lot of fun. But this Jessa just needs to call attention to herself.”

Anti-Willie Revillame posters sprout in Cebu

At least 10 posters branding popular “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame as “Capitalist Whore” and “Wowpera” have mysteriously appeared on Escarrio Street, Barangay Kamputhaw  in Cebu City.

Village officials said they are still facing a blank wall on who might be responsible for putting up the anti-Revillame posters. They suspect that the culprits are not residents of Barangay Kamputhaw.

Village chairman Dondon Donaldo assured that his men would double their efforts in patrolling the area to catch the culprits and avoid a repeat of the incident.

As of posting time, it is not year clear whether the incident was connected to the latest  Pulse Asia survey results showing Revillame as among those who could win a senatorial seat if elections were held today.

According to the Pulse Asia survey conducted from February 2 to 15, Revillame, who has not yet indicated his interest in running for public office, could land in 17th to 23rd place.

Recently, the popular “Wowowee” host was named the most powerful entertainer in local show business by entertainment magazine YES!
