Annabelle Rama refutes “unfounded and baseless allegation” of Ms. Wilma Galvante

Nag-file ng opposition at counter affidavit ang abogado ni Annabelle Rama sa Quezon City Regional Trial Court noong Huwebes ng hapon, April 2 Ang Counter Affidavit at Opposition ang sagot ni Annabelle sa mga kaso na isinampa laban sa kanya ni Wilma Galvante, SVP for Entertainment TV ng GMA-7, at ng asawa nito na si Eleuterio Galvante.

Nakakuha ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ng kopya nito. At ilan sa excerpts ng affidavit ni Annabelle ay ang mga sumusunod:

Ms. Wilma Galvante to Annabelle Rama: Keep distance

“Damages with application for temporary restraining order [TRO] and/or writ of preliminary injunction” ang civil case (No. 09-64577) na isinampa ng mag-asawang Wilma V. Galvante at Eleuterio C. Galvante laban sa talent manager na si Annabelle Rama noong March 17, 2009.

Bilang asawa ng GMA-7 SVP for Entertainment TV, si Eleuterio ang “nominal party” sa kaso, ayon sa Rule 3, Section 4 ng Rules of Court.

Nakakuha ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ng affidavit ni John Carlo “JC” de Vera tungkol sa 7-million peso damage suit na isinampa ni GMA SVP for Entertainment TV Wilma Galvante at ng asawa nito na si Eleuterio Galvante, Jr. laban sa kanyang manager na si Annabelle Rama.

Ang sworn affidavit ni JC ang isa sa mga dokumentong ibinigay ni Annabelle, sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga abugado, sa Branch 95 ng Quezon City Regional Trial Court  hapon ng April 2, bilang sagot niya sa mga akusayon ng mag-asawang Galvante.

Richard Gutierrez says PEP apologized for the wrong reasons

Umalis noong April 2, si Richard Gutierrez papuntang Los Angeles, California. Mula sa L.A., tutuloy siya sa East Coast dahil sila ni Rhian Ramos ang special guests sa show ng Eat Bulaga! sa Atlantic City.

Kasamang umalis ni Richard ang kanyang bunsong kapatid na si Ritchie Paul. Inihatid sila sa Centennial Airport ng kanilang ina na si Annabelle Rama.

PEP is ready if Annabelle Rama and Richard Gutierrez decide to sue

Pagkatapos magbigay ng public apology ng editor in-chief ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na si Ms. Jo-Ann Maglipon noong Martes ng hapon, March 31, hindi pa rin dito natatapos ang usapin sa pagitan ng PEP at ng talent manager na si Annabelle Rama.

Ang naturang isyu ay may kaugnayan sa “inadvertent uploading” ng artikulo tungkol sa diumano’y naganap na gulo sa pagitan nina Richard Gutierrrez at Michael Flores sa birthday party ng Zorro director na si Mark Reyes.

HK columnist Chip Tsao apologizes before RP execs in Hong Kong

Controversial Hong Kong columnist Chip Tsao approached Philippine executives in Hong Kong yesterday to personally extend his apologies for naming the Philippines as a “nation of servants.”

According to GMA News, Department of Foreign Affrairs (DFA) spokesperson Eduardo Malaya related to the media that, “Mr. Chip Tsao went to the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong last night and conveyed to consulate officials and Filipino community leaders his ‘most sincere apologies for the offense he had caused.”

GMA Network improves earnings despite absence of political ads

MANILA, Philippines Broadcast giant GMA Network Inc. on Thursday reported higher earnings in 2008 as revenues continued to improve.

In a statement, GMA said its net income rose three percent to P2.369 billion last year from P2.307 billion in 2007.

Consolidated gross revenues climbed four percent to P12.49 billion.

This was despite the absence of political ads from airtime revenues in 2008. In 2007, political ads contributed P500 million.
